Dogo John Joel Biography, Career and Impact of The Prince of Zaar Land

Dogo John Joel (The Prince of Zaar Land), also known as Long John is a musician, singer, and song writer. Born on 4th November 1977, the Zaar born artist hails from Gyara, Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro, in Bauchi State, Nigeria.

He is the C.E.O Dogo John Music World (DJMW), a body with a goal to promote gospel and moral music, as well as mentor and promote upcoming artist.

He studied Public Administration from Abubakar Tatari Ali, State Polytechnic Bauchi. Growing up as a productive young man, Dogo submitted himself to learn electrical works under an experienced tutor. He went further to register for a certificate course in electrical insulation under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity. A skill he used to solve electrical problems around him and create a stream of income.

Apart from his love for music, Dogo John loves God, and loves to spend time with family, taking care of his children and hanging out with loved ones in special places.

Music Career and Discography

He found his voice while living with his grandfather in a village called Malar where he started learning to play the local harp at the age of 7. His love for music has since then grown massively.

Greatly influenced by the likes of Lucky Dube, Diamond Platinumz, Flavor, Sinach, Sammie Okposo, and recently Moses Bliss, Frank Edwards and GUC. Long John has risen to become the best contemporary Zaar Music Artist today.

This among other things has made him a role model to many people especially the youth, who look to him for mentorship. He has influenced so many young people to make positive choices and has inspired upcoming artist through his music and lifestyle to work hard and pursue their dreams.

Dogo John, also known as Long John, the prince of Zaar land, sings gospel and moral songs. He has through his unique style, carved out a niche for himself. He combines traditional classical music with modern pop classical music. His musical gift transcends genre boundaries to make him a household name among the Zaar (sayawa) people worldwide.

With 4 albums already and his newly released EP titled ‘‘SU’UGHN JOMI’’ (True Love) and lots of singles released, the Zaar singer has gained a reputation for creating potent songs that examine life’s complexities with simplicity. Through his unique sound, he has contributed to the sustenance of unity among the Zaar Nation. He has been recognized and awarded for his contributions to contemporary Zaar Music and promotion of Unity and development among his people and influence on the youth.

Dogo John finds pleasure and peace in music. He feels music is the only language he can use to effectively communicate with the world and comfortably express himself or his feelings to his audience. Challenges and Reliance

Dogo john has faced and surmounted many challenges over the years. The most recent challenge is his battle with Glaucoma, an eye disease that is threatening to take his sight. But through resilience and faith the dogged singer is fighting and rising to reach the peak of his dreams in life. His slogan is always- ‘’I WILL NEVER GIVE UP ‘COS AM A VICTORY RIDER”.
